Many people believe that death is their enemy, and that the job of a doctor is to fight death and “save” patients from that inevitable end. Perhaps that’s why diagnoses like cancers and heart disease can rally social networks to support an individual while other diagnoses like chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia (“invisible illnesses”) are often ignored. People routinely die of cancer and heart disease, not CFS.
When Dr. Rapaport first founded Haven Medical, she chose not to sell supplements, believing that it was a conflict of interest to recommend something and then sell it.
That was until a patient needed a particular supplement, available only to physicians. By rethinking Haven’s no-supplement policy, Dr. Rapaport was able to offer her patient a much-needed treatment option.
Today we carry various professional line supplements in our office, as well as a few others for your convenience. We trust these products: their quality, their purity, and their origin. Many of these are cheaper than products found locally.
Some of our care packages include supplements, while other supplements are available a la carte. Patients are never expected or required to purchase supplements at Haven.
